Full Clip on the scene.
In case you missed it, Sean Kingston partied all night with Hot Gossip Nightclub and its patrons at this week’s labour day long weekend. His supporting acts included a full cast of local DJs: DJ Sammy, DJ Maxwell, DJ Nivi, and DJ Noize. Our very own Brisbane artist Jae T performed some of his latest music for the crowd, getting them ready for Mr. Kingston.
Sean Kingston rose to fame in 2007 with his hit song Beautiful Girls. Kingston started the act with Me Love, the second single from his debut album which samples Led Zeppelin’s 1973 song D’yer Mak’er (a title that was intended to sound like “Jamaica” when pronounced with a British accent).
As expected of the young reggae/hip hop artist, he continued his performance with hit songs like: Take You There, Letting Go (Dutty Love), and Fire Burning. Mr Kingston showed off his vocals in an acapella of Beautiful Girls before the crowd resonated in a chorus to join him.
The night took an unusual turn as Mr. Kingston sang songs that he wrote for other artists. This included the song Replay which he wrote for Iyaz back in 2010 and Watcha Say which was Jason Derulo’s debut single from 2009. Regardless, the audience enjoyed his performance as many in the crowd sang along with Mr. Kingston.
It felt as if the performance was not long enough as Sean Kingston ended his appearance with Beat It. A song he released back in 2013 which features the vocals of Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifa. Hot Gossip kept the party going all night as their patrons planned nothing but to sleep all day the next.
